With Cinco de Mayo on a Friday this year, we can think of at least 13 reasons why you want to celebrate with us at Blue Wolf Tavern.

Well, 14…the first being it’s on a FRIDAY! We don’t think it’s possible to stress that enough.

Reasons 2 through 12 are all of our delicious appetizers and entrées, including Chiles en Nogada. This traditional Mexican dish was served to Emperor Agustín de Iturbide during a visit to the city of Puebla after Mexico won its independence. The dish is a point of pride for the people of Puebla, where the Mexican army defeated French forces on May 5, 1862 – the battle that is commemorated by…

You guessed it…Cinco de Mayo!

We prepare ours with mild Anaheim chili peppers, chicken, and a mixed fruit stuffing, all oven-baked to perfection. We top it off with a walnut cream sauce, fresh cilantro leaves, and blueberries.

This was our most popular seller last year and we have limited quantities this year, so don’t miss out on a chance to try this traditional Mexican dish that’s at the heart of the Cinco de Mayo holiday.

margarita-1Reasons 13 and 14 – margaritas! We’re running specials on our Blue Wolf and Ultimate margaritas all day. The Blue Wolf version is made the traditional way, with the perfect blend of tequila, triple sec, and lime juice, served in a glass with a salted rim. The Ultimate Margarita uses top shelf spirits, including Patrón, Cointreau, and some Grand Marnier for a little something extra.

Of course, that doesn’t include our featured soups, vegetables, sides, and desserts, which are all in the spirit of the day. You can check out the entire menu here.

See you Friday!
